Listening to: "Hey Hey Girl" by The Virgins / Playing: DDR / Reading: Looking for Alaska by John Green
URGH! I wrote a good portion of my blog, but then because I am a complete idiot, I exed it out and lost everything! Booo!
Anyway, I realized the other day that I have quite a lot of sites under "Part Of" on the sidebar. These are places on the internet that I use fairly regularly and that I have profiles on that you can view and talk to me on. I am actually on more sites, like DeviantArt and FanArtCentral, but I haven't been on those in over half a year, so I didn't list those. I actually don't even remember my usernames for those, either.
So I decided to just give a bit of a description of each of those sites, how often I use them, and what I use them for. Maybe this will give you a little insight into what I do outside of my domain around the internet and maybe you'll decide to join some of these and friend me
Okay, so here we go-
Fiction Press: I use this to post my poetry on, but since I haven't been writing much poetry since the end of the year, I haven't logged onto this since the beginning of the summer. I may write a new poem in the next couple months, but I haven't gotten any inspiration lately. Anyway, the poems on here are the same as the ones on this site; however, if you decided to join Fiction Press, you can comment on each of them, which is not an option on this site.
Twitter: A lot of people have been starting to use this lately, so this week I joined them. It's kind of like Facebook status, but it's better because it is not on Facebook, so non-friends can see what I'm up to. I'll be updating this pretty regularly because I love that you can text updates to the site. Very convenient. If you are on Twitter, friend me or click follow to get updates on what I'm up to on your homepage!
YouTube: I do not accept friends on this who I don't know. This is a private channel just for a group of my actual real-life friends. I make video messages for them while they are in college, updating them on key events that are happening back at home. And if any of you (Katie, Dani, Kris, or Jesse) are reading this, expect a new video on Monday! Don't get too excited, though, it's gonna be short.
Nerdfighters: I do accept friends on this, but only those who I have talked to before, online or in person. So if you are regular reader of this blog, you pretty much qualify to be friended by me on this. However, I don't really know many other people who are Nerdfighters, so you probably wouldn't qualify for the site in general anyway. I log on to this probably once a week. If you are unaware of what a nerdfighter is, please check out The Vlogbrothers on YouTube. They are amazing!
Facebook: I think this one is kind of obvious. I do not friend anyone who I haven't met real life, so I wouldn't bother trying if you don't know me. I check this almost every day because I'm a freak that way. Also, it's probably the best way to get in touch with me on the internet because I check it more often than my multiple email addresses.
MySpace: I made it for the music, I swear! No, really, I did make it soley for the music updates. I also actually made it very recently- earlier this week. I also made a street team page on this for my favorite band: Locksley! If you friend me on this, I will accept, no matter who you are. I check it about once a week, but the street team page I check almost every day, like Facebook. It's the best way to contact Locksley with questions and to connect with other fans, so I went for it.
BlogTv: I use this to check up on my favorite YouTubers when they do their live shows. Most recently I was following the BlogTv Ironman competition, the Nerdfighter/Paper Towns tour, and the Philly D live shows. I haven't logged on in a week or two because nothing really major has happened on BlogTv recently. Like MySpace, I'll friend you on here no matter what.
JustinTv: This is pretty much the same as BlogTv, but I am only on it because Locksley does their bi-weekly webcast on here every other Wednesday (which is totally awesome!). I'll accept you as a friend on here no matter what and if you want some more information on Locksley, I'd gladly tell you about them!
So that was the break down of all my social networks on the internet. On most sites, my usernames have something to do with "erin" "lynn" and "s" in one form or another, just in case you're wondering. I don't plan on joining any more networks, so don't bother suggesting any. Haha.
I've Been Tagged!
by Megg! And I'm tagging anyone who comments on this post and my two new hostees, once their sites officially open.
Five Random Facts
1. I've sat on a NYC street corner in the rain/cold, at night, for 12 hours, on two separate occasions, to get into SNL.
2. I've ridden on a camel
3. I can speak German... nur ein bisschen!
4. I have 4 rockstars on speed-dial
5. I'm having the time of my life right now
That's all folks!

Another Resolution! Goal? The Perfect Life

So I've decided to make another resolution. My book one worked for a while, but then school work hit and I've been really trying to focus on my end of the year papers and not so much on reading for enjoyment. It'll get back up again when this semester is over and I have more freetime for non-school reading.
Anyway, this resolution doesn't deal so much with taking away as much time as reading does. It will actually probably help me have more time to myself. I really hope this one sticks because its not even just a goal resolution. I'm planning of giving myself a whole new lifestyle.
No, it's not that drastic, but maybe the effects will be... hopefully.
I recently got the assignment from my Philosophy teacher to sit down and meditate for 30 minutes, but not to clear your mind. You have to consciously think about everything that is going on around you and your thoughts because it is impossible to stop thinking altogether. So in that time this afternoon when I finished eating lunch and decided to finally do the meditation, I got to thinking... a lot.
You see, for the last few months, I've been having a blast. My classes are great and the people I've met have been fantastic. I've been doing fun stuff with my friends that I barely ever used to do, like going into the city pretty much every weekend. Work is okay because it is getting a little busier, but it's not a madhouse yet. I have straight A's right now and I don't think that my grades will be dropping anytime soon.
So whenever anyone has asked me how college is going, I say- Fantastic! ... because it is fantastic. I'm happier now than I have ever been in my life. Really.
But when I sat down and started thinking, I realized that I haven't been doing as much as I can to make my life perfect. Like absolutely perfect. It's been amazing, but any life could always be better. And so, in a mission to make my life as fantastically awesome as possible, I'm making a resolution. And keeping it. Forever. And I'm gonna keep working at it until I know that a more awesome life for me could never exist.
So, in the pursuit of ultimate life, here are the parts of my resolution-
1. Excercise more. I know, the standard resolution, but it is a quality one. I haven't really been exercising, but I started up again today. I'm hoping this will lead to happiness and more energy for my awesome life.
2. Read more. It's still on my resolution, even though it won't be a top priority. Hopefully this resolution will give me more time.
3. Drink more water. Again, health and energy. It's always good and never bad, unless you die like that woman who did that radio contest. But I don't plan on entering any contests.
4. Eat better. Fruits and veggies at every meal. No exceptions. No junk food, except of weekends. I've already gotten rid of my Halloween candy
Aren't you proud?
5. Procrastinate less. Even though it's never really caused me stress, I still feel like it couldn't hurt and will give me more time to do better things.
6. Take shorter showers. From an ecological perspective and to create more time for myself.
7. Sleep more. I feel like I am always tired. I need to sleep way more than I do and not just all on Sundays. I can't stay up to 3 am anymore watching youtube videos.
8. Spend less time watching tv/on the computer. Sorry guys. Blogging will be less often from now on. The computer is starting to rule my life again and I will not have it!
That's all. Here comes a happier me!

All Over Again... Locksley Fanlisting!

[Update: 11/17/08] The fanlisting has been approved by TheFanlistings.org! I just sent in the fanlisting url so that it can be put up on the site and be made official. Check it out here! I'll be blogging tomorrow afternoon. [/Update]
Ok, this is going to be really quick because I'm really busy, but I wanted to let everyone know that for the next week, I am going to be working on a Locksley fanlisting. I haven't been approved by The Fanlistings yet, but I should be within a couple weeks, so be on the lookout.
And this does not mean I am starting a fanlisting craze again because Locksley is the only thing that I am really obsessed with that that there is no fanlisting for yet, so that's why I'm making it. I made my friend Danielle promise that she would stop me if I tried to make another fanlisting after this
I am also very excited because now that I've learned how to work MySql and PHP since the last time that I had fanlistings, I've been able to put up a script on the site. It makes it so much easier to manage than my former manual way of managing the sites.
So I'm very excited! The link will be up soon. In the meantime, you should check out Locksley!
